Accelerator physics course
Starting with the academic year 2003 - 2004 I will present a course on charged particle optics and accelerator physics for master and graduate students. The course will give four credit points according to the new ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) that is presently being implemented at the RuG.
The course will be based on the book
An Introduction to Particle Accelerators
E. Wilson
Oxford University Press (
ISBN 0198508298
and material from various sources, which will be made available to the students as lecture notes.
The course is given every second year . The first
occasion to follow the course is during the second half of the first semester
of the academic year 2007 – 2008 on tuesdays
from 11:15 - 13:00 in lecture room 5116.0116 and wednesdays from 13:15 to 15:00
in the lecture room 5113.0201 at the physics department, Nijenborg 4,
The first lectures will be on 13 november 2007, the
last on 16 january 2008.
Detailed information on the course can be found on NESTOR (course NAAP04E)
